C.G. Jung as Artist: Exploring the Art of Jung’s The Red Book

Tuesday May 1, 2012 08:00 PM EDT
Cost: General Admission: $5, free for Oglethorpe University Museum of Art members and with a Petrel Pass

From the venue:

This presentation will explore the theme of Jung as artist through an exploration of numerous paintings from Jung’s The Red Book, his murals and carvings at his self-created castle at Bollingen, Switzerland and examples of earlier artwork, and works by other artists who had a documented or likely influence on Jung’s own artistic productions. The Red Book gives new evidence for the vitality of Jung’s art—about which he was too conflicted to share publicly during his own lifetime. Its subsequent publication has given us genuine artistic treasures to study and appreciate.
