From the venue:

The Metro Atlanta Chapter of the Afro-American Historical and Genealogical Society (AAHGS), the Georgia Archives and the Auburn Avenue Research Library will host a lecture and veterans panel discussion in tribute to blacks who served in the Vietnam War. African American Vietnam-era veterans will share their personal histories and memories of that 1960’s-1970’s Southeast Asia conflict in “40 Years Later: Vietnam Remembered.” Local historian Robert Williams will provide context by discussing the complex history and experiences of blacks who simultaneously fought for equality and respect on the battlefront and at home in the U.S.
