Atlanta celebrates the late life and lasting impact of Latin crossover sensation Selena Quintanilla. The party is part of Josephine Figueroa’s 1/4 Program curator residency at Murmur. Quintanilla, known simply as Selena, was an award-winning pop star who gained mainstream success with pop crossover hits like “Dreaming of You†and “Bidi Bidi Bom Bom†in the early ’90s. Figueroa and Somos Sur Art Collective invite guests to dress up in their flashiest crop tops, dance “the washing machine,†and drink the night away to pay respects to the Queen of Tejano Music.
