Modeled after ancient cooking practices, the Big Green Egg can be used for grilling, smoking, and baking dishes such as sweet Hawaiian kabobs with pineapple and vegetables and mashed-style burgers with bacon and fry sauce. Dad-child duos will also make flavorful duck fat and sesame french fries and charred corn and goat cheese slaw. Cap off the afternoon with beer-spiked milk shakes, then figure out how to top the day next year.
