From the venue:

CHROMA: Red for Elevate kicks off the weeklong public art festival Elevate (see pg. XX for more info) with an immersive performance that explores the color red, highlighting the root chakra, the energy center associated with the earth and grounding. As attendees bathe in red, enveloped with monochromatic walls, textures, set design, and costumes, the artists of collective CHROMA will delve into the effects of gentrification, opening a commentary surrounding themes of safety and establishing a foundation and home. CHROMA’s work is presented in conjunction with the opening of Galley 72’s Sisters Song: Awaken, an exhibit featuring local women photographers as they explore the impact of migration development and gentrification on Atlanta’s inhabitants. Funded by the Mayor’s Office of Cultural Affairs, the opening night performance is poised to begin the week with colorful flare.
