From the venue:

Epiphany is Not a Blazing Light introduces new sculpture, installations, and drawings by artist Romy Aura Maloon. Titled after the Martín Espada poem of the same name, the work explores the ways in which living and dying are not borne of grand epiphany, are comprised instead of earthbound exchanges and interventions. Romy explores our inability to control or domesticate mortality through ornamentation, material exploration, and wild animal imagery. Romy’s art pokes a finger in the eye of glittering consumerism, while celebrating its gorgeous, troubling gaudiness.
