Sweetwater Creek State Park Yurt Village Grand Opening

Georgia State Parks presents the grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony for yurts and camping at Sweetwater Creek State Park. This is a landmark occasion to showcase the first-ever overnight accommodations at Atlanta’s closest state park. Visitors can tour the 10-unit yurts and the park’s tent campground. Throughout the day, the park will offer wide variety of outdoor activities for free, such as kayaking, SUP, camping demonstrations, wildlife programs, kids programs with Scout the Gopher, and information booths. Chick-Fil-A at Arbor Place Mall will be on-site to sell sandwiches, chips, drinks, and cookies.
