The Goat Farm Arts Center present Chamber Cartel performing music by George Crumb, whose profoundly humanistic music includes programmatic, symbolic, mystical and theatrical elements. On this concert will be performed some of the most beautiful works of the 20th century: An Idyll for the Misbegotten for amplified flute and three percussionists; Dream Sequence for violin, cello, piano, percussion, and glass harmonica; and Vox Balaenae (Voice of the Whale) for three masked players on electric flute, cello and piano. Chamber Cartel is a group of adventurous musicians dedicated to finding the rare, the wonderful and the imaginative in contemporary music.
