Join us as we celebrate Frederick Douglass and his contributions to America’s triumph over slavery and inhumanity. Former Atlanta Hawks player Mike “Stinger” Glenn will share exhibit items from his private collection, which includes first edition and rare books, newspapers and other documents that illuminate Frederick Douglass’ America. The program will include a special performance about the life of Douglass by the internationally-acclaimed performer known as “The Spirit of Frederick Douglass.” The great, great granddaughter of Frederick Douglas, Nettie Washington Douglass and Chairwoman of the Frederick Douglass Family Foundation will be special guests.
