From the venue:

Auburn Avenue Research Library, in collaboration with Hammonds House Museum, will host Collier Heights: A Photographic Exhibit by photographer Lydia A. Harris. This exhibit and art book documents the Collier Heights community, located northwest of Atlanta. Exploring elaborate mid-century modern architecture, the intimacy of the artists’ experience working in the neighborhood unfolds, as intricate interiors are revealed. Taken between 2010 and 2014, the photographs pay tribute to a community that was productive in the economy of Atlanta and instrumental to the Civil Rights movement. Join Harris for a talk and book signing Sunday, June 1 at 2:00 p.m.
