The day is filled with fun activities, a 5k and 10k race, a Patriotic Ceremony on the lawn of the Gold Museum, a watermelon cutting by The Dahlonega Nugget, an antique auto show, and musicians filling the square with diverse sounds of bluegrass, folk, and country music.
