Birmingham, Ala., producer and beatmaker Byron the Aquarius makes his way back to Atlanta to spin live beats and lay down some synthesizer jams for an evening of soulful and experimental hip-hop on Wed., July 9. Byron’s sound encompasses a broad swath of musical textures that touch on chilled-out, downtempo, and early ’90s funk and electro vibes, but his sensibilities remain firmly planted in the J Dilla school of lush hip-hop atmospherics.
