Candlelight Vigil for the Uninsured

Health Students Taking Action Together (HealthSTAT) will honor those who lost their lives due to lack of insurance by holding a candlelight vigil on the steps of the Georgia State Capitol.Nearly two million Georgians are uninsured and more than 1,000 Georgians die each year due to uninsurance. Though the ACA will help thousands, over 400,000 Georgians will remain uninsured because of the decision to forgo Medicaid Expansion in GA.HealthSTAT hopes to shine light on the issue of uninsurance and call on our state leaders to act now and expand Medicaid expansion. Please join us on November 16th.
