Independent to the bone with seven CDs, and with a Grammy nomination for Best Contemporary Folk CD in 2006, Caroline Aiken has played thousands of shows in her 40-plus years of touring at home and abroad, sharing the stage with many talented and renowned artists. Since returning to Atlanta in the early ‘80’s; her bluesy voice, masterful finger picking guitar style, and hypnotizing stage presence has anchored the city’s acoustic and folk scene, influencing up and coming artists she took under her wing, including Indigo Girls and Shawn Mullins.
