Planet of the Apes 50th Anniversary Live Show and Screening with Blast-Off Burlesque and friends
From the venue:
Blast-Off Burlesque is back, bringing back the popular TABOOLALA series to their original home the Plaza Theatre to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Original 1968 Planet of the Apes. The groundbreaking movie that begun the franchise that asks; who is superior, man or ape? Still weirdly relevant, the film spawned an imaginative jungle of sequels, reboots, action figures, comic books, lunch boxes, board games, and a short-lived TV series. 20th Century Fox released Apes on March 27, 1968, directed by industry veteran Franklin Schaffner from a screenplay by The Twilight Zone’s Rod Serling and blacklisted writer Michael Wilson. Enjoy the live show with Blast-Off Burlesque and special guests inspired by the film, followed by a screening on the Plaza Theatre’s big beautiful screen. Party with us in the lobby, get a cocktail and celebrate 50 years of Monkey business!
