National Night Out
From the venue:
On Tuesday, August 7, Atlantic Station will bring together local safety officers and Midtown residents in observance of the city’s largest National Night Out, a night when local communities across the country enhance partnerships with local law enforcement and safety officials, promote crime and drug awareness and band together to show criminals they aren't welcome in their neighborhoods.
On both sides of Central Park, guests will have the opportunity to meet and mingle with members of the FBI, DEA, ATF, the Georgia State Patrol, the Atlanta Fire and Police Departments and others. Get an up-close look at Atlanta Police Department’s Mounted Police team and experience an APD helicopter fly-over to round out the evening. Guests will be treated to a behind the scenes peek with tours of government vehicles and displays, while enjoying fun tunes provided the live DJ.
New this year, representatives from BIRD scooters will be on hand demonstrating safety and providing rider tips. The first 100 guests to stop by the BIRD booth and try out this new transportation option will receive a free BIRD helmet. Don’t forget to stop by the National Night Out Hot Dog stand on East District and enjoy a free hot dog and Coca-Cola products compliments of Target and Chesley Brown International.
