Spotting Fake News
Thursday August 23, 2018 12:30 PM EDT
Cost: Free
From the venue:
How confident are you in your ability to reliably spot fake news? Although most Americans say they are fairly confident, several studies show that the majority of us aren’t able to accurately distinguish fake from real news. In the last decade or two, with the growth of the internet and social media, fake news stories and entire fake news sites have proliferated.
Lucy Ke, head of KeFactors, will give you an engaging seminar on how to become more proficient in spotting fake news. With over 30 years’ experience, Ke provides comprehensive communications services and training needs. Join us, bring your lunch and a friend!
Open to first 50 participants. Funding provided by the Friends of the Decatur Library.
