High Museum 2019 Event - Member Event: Coffee with the Curators

Monday March 11, 2019 10:00 AM EDT
Cost: Free for Members

From the venue:

Collaboratively organized by the museum’s renowned photography and folk and self-taught art departments, Way Out There celebrates the convergence of contemporary American photography, literature, and self-taught artists.

On March 11, join fellow Museum members for coffee with the exhibition’s curators, Katherine Jentleson and Gregory Harris, followed by a guided tour of Way Out There.

Together we’ll explore many sculptures, paintings and drawings by self-taught artists in the High’s collection, alongside many rarely seen photographs by Guy Mendes and Roger Manley.

Artists including Eddie Owens Martin, Sam Doyle, J.B. Murray, Edgar Tolson, Georgia Blizzard, Sister Gertrude Morgan, Howard Finster, Thornton Dial, and many others will be represented in the exhibition.

RSVP now by reserving your free tickets or by calling our Customer Service Center at 404-733-4532 (Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.). Limit 2 participants per household.
