Rapoon, Pas Musique, Sandor Trio, Duet for Theremin and Lap Steel, and more
From the venue:
Robin Storey is a founding member of :zoviet*france:, one of the U.K.’s early, and more inventive tenants of industrial music. The group is known for blending ambient textures and drone music with cavernous bouts of musique concrète.
Since 1992, Storey has continued the musical thread he helped create, delving into a more personalized sound and vision under the name Rapoon. Over the last 27 years, Storey has released more than 60 titles, each one passing through deep layers of dream-like musical space. Whether albums with titles such as Darker By Light, Wasteland Ragas, and Raising Earthly Spirits are soothing, tense, or as neutral as the ebb and flow of the cosmos depends on what the listener brings to Storey’s vast, and exquisitely composed music.
BONUS: For those who partake in physical media, scope out that merch table for a new lathe cut split 7-inch collaboration featuring Rapoon and Somnimage label owner Mykel Boyd.
Pas Musique, Shaun Sandor, Duet for Theremin and Lap Steel, Benjie Genchel and Yi Wu, and Gulp also perform.
