Blues Dance Boot Camp: Multi Class Dance Workshop

Love hearing all the amazing local blues bands here in Atlanta? Have you ever wanted to get up and dance? The afternoon of Sunday, July 14, Blues Dance ATL will teach a 3-hour blues dance boot camp at Blind Willie’s Blues Club!

We will brush up on the basics to get everyone up to speed, and then it is time to Spice it up! We will be playing with musicality this month - call and response, and struttin’ idiom for when the tempo picks up.

This workshop teaches complimentary content to past workshops, not repeating topics from the past 6 months, but is also set up so absolute beginners will succeed.

How will this Blues Dance Boot Camp compare to previous ones?

This is different content than our last 4 boot camps, so we continue our promise to challenge those with a bit of experience, while keeping material fun and accessible to all levels - including those that have never danced blues! We make sure that everyone learns a bit of something, while having a bit of fun.

Stick around after the workshop at Blind Willie’s for dinner and/or drinks. Doug Deming & The Jewel Tones will start playing music about 6:30 ($7 cover), so there will be just enough time to eat and socialize between when the boot camp ends and the music begins.

Boot Camp: $35 in advance, $40 at the door / day of.
