Outlaw country has many faces, and one of the foremost mugs belongs to Ray Wylie Hubbard. He made a big first impression with the iconic “Up Against The Wall Redneck Mother” way back in the ’70s. Followed by a low level and somewhat crazy “career” in Texas for a couple of decades (hilariously described in his hard-to-find bio A Life… Well, Lived), Hubbard found a light to follow, and his recent output has been unequivocally fantastic.
