HEARTISANS was formed following a show called Women Who Rock, where a bunch of songs were selected and different musicians signed up for whichever song they wanted to play. Heart was represented by “Love Alive,” a song that Johanna had requested. Alan signed up to play drums on it, with Linda on bass. Alan was wearing a Heart t-shirt, and he and Johanna struck up a conversation. A few weeks later, Johanna contacted Alan and said “hey, Linda and I and some others are putting together a Heart tribute band … are you in?” Sharon joined not long after that, with Marva right behind her.
We will play lots of well-known Heart favorites, but also some of the minor hits as well as a deep cut or two.
