From the venue:

Armed with lyrical wit, virtuosic piano runs, and a sultry-sweet voice that hearkens back to the golden age of jazz, Atlanta-based songwriter Anita Aysola is a deft musical mixologist who seamlessly infuses jazz and blues with classic rock and traditional Indian influences. Her debut album More Than Maybe showcases her songwriting prowess and broad range of influences, from Norah Jones and Tori Amos, to Tom Waits and Otis Spann. Her focus goes beyond jazz into traditional Indian music, most apparent in “Long Way Home”, a haunting ballad channeling influences like Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and Ravi Shankar. Anita seamlessly bridges worlds to create a unique sound that is emblematic of her growing body of work. Anita’s second EP, “Beyond Our Dreams” is due for release in August 2018. Anita has performed across the United States, with major shows in Chicago, Boston, Houston, Washington D.C., NYC and Atlanta. She performed at a private Democratic fundraiser that included President Barack Obama, and is a regular performer in Atlanta.
