Cobb Energy Centre, Sun. Oct. 13. Sometimes mainstream Nashville gets it right. Timing is everything, but hard work, determination, and talent are essential. The Monticello, Georgia, native went to college at Belmont in Nashville, found a gig cutting demos, and eventually cut a deal with MCA Records. Her natural skills and wonderful personality went a long way for her, and the hits rolled out. Yearwood is now married to Garth Brooks, has her own cooking show, is considered Music City royalty, and continues to make some of the most palatable pop country music on the air.
