From the venue:

Quincy Matthew Hanley, better known by his stage name ScHoolboy Q, is an American hip-hop recording artist from South Central Los Angeles, California. After spending three years in the mixtape underground, ScHoolboy Q emerged at the forefront of Californian gangster rap revivalism in 2011 when his career began to take flight. His first mixtape, ScHoolboy Turned Hustla, landed in 2008 and grabbed the attention of Kendrick Lamar and Top Dawg Entertainment. From this, Lamar formed the Black Hippy collective with ScHoolboy Q along with Jay Rock and Ab-Soul. Once signed to the Top Dawg label, his official debut, Setbacks, was released in 2011. By 2012, ScHoolboy announced a third album to be called Oxymoron. The album featured guest producers and vocalists and was officially released in February 2014. Debuting at number one on the pop charts, the success of the album pushed the single “Studio” into the Top 40. Throughout his six-year career, ScHoolboy Q has collaborated with Danny Brown, Jhene Aiko, A$AP Rocky, Mac Miller, The Game, Stalley, Troy Ave, Vince Staples, Rick Ross, Childish Gambino and many more.  Most recently, Q dropped his studio album Blank Face LP on July 8 and followed the release with the announcement for his eight city tour called the “Groovy Tony Pit Stops.”
