The Music of Michael McDonald
One of pop music’s most recognizable voices, Michael McDonald ruled the airwaves during the golden years of Yacht Rock. As a member of both Steely Dan and The Doobie Brothers, it seemed McDonald was everywhere - even his cameos as a backing vocalist turned into gold for artists like Christopher Cross and Toto, and his solo material influenced the next generation. His time with the Doobie Brothers catapulted them to their zenith, and soon after, the songs he wrote with Kenny Loggins would win Grammys for them both.
Please join us for an evening of Michael McDonald’s most memorable work, performed by some of Atlanta’s finest talent! Curated by Ganesh Giri Jaya with special guests Khari Cabral Simmons, Ansley Stewart, and Cleveland P. Jones.
