CANCELED: Artful Stories: Amma, Tell Me About…Durga Puja

The Carlos Museum is open, and our standard operating hours remain unchanged. However, in accordance with current Emory University policy, docent-led tours have been canceled through the end of May, and our programs have been canceled or rescheduled. Visit carlos.emory.edu for updates.

In an immense photograph by Manjari Sharma in the special exhibition Transcendent Deities of India, the goddess Durga rests on her tiger. Children will hear about Durga’s origin and her many feats from Amma, Tell Me About…Durga Puja, written by Bhakti Mathur and illustrated by Maulshree Somani, and then match Durga’s multiple arms with the weapons given to her by the gods.

For ages 3 to 6 years and accompanying adults.

This program is free and open to the public.
