Mom Friend is the new project of Emily Backus, whose time as a folk musician, classical percussionist, and elementary school music teacher now manifests in catchy rock songs that speak to feminist anger and good-old-fashioned wallowing. Mom Friend’s debut EP is available at momfriend.bandcamp.com (all proceeds going to the Giving Kitchen) and streaming platforms.
