Goethe Frühlingsfest

The Goethe-Zentrum Atlanta and the Avondale Estates Downtown Development Authority (DDA) present Goethe Frühlingsfest, meaning “spring festival” in German, from March 20 through April 4, 2021.

The team at Goethe-Zentrum Atlanta, a 501c3 non-profit dedicated to connecting people of the Southeast to the German language and culture since 1976, hosted an in-person event with support from the DDA in spring 2019 that attracted over 5,000 people in a single day.

This year, Goethe-Zentrum and the DDA have developed an innovative, safe, and virtual spring festival due to the ongoing impact of the pandemic. The virtual festival will be held from March 20 – April 4, 2021, with a goal to provide the community with an opportunity to welcome spring with a German touch, to provide a platform for local artisans via their online marketplace, and to support local businesses in downtown Avondale Estates through a unique “business passport”.
