Friday November 12, 2021 08:00 PM EST
Cost: $30

From the venue:

New Zealand-born violinist Geneva Lewis has forged a reputation as a musician of consummate artistry whose performances speak from and to the heart. Hailed by conductor Nic McGegan as “a name to watch,” Lewis is also the recipient of a 2021 Avery Fisher Career Grant and Grand Prize winner of the 2020 Concert Artists Guild Competition. The evening’s program, “Homage to the Blues” celebrates the Blues through the lenses of very differing composers, including David N. Baker, William Grant Still, and George Gershwin. The program also includes works by Debussy and Ravel.

As part of the Schwartz Artist-in-Residence Series, patrons are also invited to attend a free master class with Geneva Lewis and Emory music students on Friday, Nov. 12 from 12:30 p.m.–2 p.m. Free registration is required at schwartz.emory.edu/SAIR.

Proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test result is required for all patrons attending this event. Full details: schwartz.emory.edu/FAQ
