Atlanta Room. Cardinal Lake is the creative vehicle of brothers Charlie and Joseph Campbell. The band is an indie rock outfit from Asheville, NC embodying themes of Kerouac-Americana with a DIY-punk aesthetic centering folk-rock vocal harmonies – all on top of jazz-influenced chordal structures. Progressive, but not for the sake of being progressive. DIY but not lo-fi. Analog warmth with improvisational imperfection. Pop sensibilities amidst controlled chaos. Our music is intended to expand minds and open hearts, subverting norms while speaking to the universal human condition.
