Home bakers and pastry chefs alike compete with sweet and savory pie recipes to be recognized as a top baker in Atlanta.
Pies entered in the bake-off will be judged by Chris Taylor and Paul Arguin, authors of The New Pie: Modern Techniques for the Classic American Dessert. Taylor and Arguin are winners of more than 500 baking awards (including the 2017 Best of Show Award at the National Pie Championships). Additional judges will be announced throughout the year.
Entry fees start at $10 and both home bakers and professional pastry chefs can visit www.porchesandpies.com for details and to enter.
Attendees can taste pies, purchase pies from past contest winners & famed Atlanta restaurants, and enjoy a day in the park with free activities, games, food & drinks, and more.
