Did you want to grab a cocktail on Wednesday evening?

  • Last time, every ice pop in a glass full of vodka you drank meant $1 for O4W. This time whiskey/no ice pop is an option.

There are four days left for our three inaugural Do Good projects to meet their fundraising goals. Last week, Edgewood Corner Tavern hosted a happy hour and helped Old Fourth Ward hit the $2,500 mark for its Marie Cowser Memorial Park.

On Wednesday, East Point Corner Tavern will host a happy hour benefitting Capitol View/Capitol View Manor’s fundraising efforts for their art-based anti litter campaign. Corner Tavern will donate $1 for every Bourbon Cowboy (rye whiskey, organic root liqueur, assorted bitters, fresh grated nutmeg, and flamed orange peel) or Jasmine’s PopRocktini of the day (Absolut Hibiskus, peach Schnapps, cranberry and pineapple juice with a strawberry pop rock rim). Plus, we’ll also be giving away tickets to Party in the Park, which features performances by Passion Pit and Ellie Goulding. So, did you want to grab a cocktail on Wednesday evening?

Finally, Oakland Cemetery is about two-thirds of the way to its goal. In the video below, Oakland’s landscape manager Sara Henderson explains how the 2008 tornado destroyed parts of the cemetery and how Do Good will help pick up the pieces.
