Moon Diagrams reveals ‘Bodymaker’

Deerhunter’s Moses Archuleta shows off a bit more of what’s in store with his forthcoming album ‘Lifetime Of Love’

Moon Diagrams, aka Deerhunter drummer Moses Archuleta, has revealed “Bodymaker,” the second single from his forthcoming debut album Lifetime of Love, out June 30 via Geographic North. “Bodymaker” is a slow, atmospheric number that builds strength on droning rhythms and a voice-as-texture motif. The song’s billowing clouds of soft focus ambience are more indicative of what the album holds in store than the schmaltzy faux ’80s dance pop he delivered with the first single, “End of Heartache.” Still, it’s just a taste of the many drawn-out moments the album captures.

The video is a lovely piece of abstract art that comes via Nicol Eltzroth Rosendorf of Scratched Glass.

Moon Diagrams plays Space 2 on Thurs., July 13. With Atlas Sound.
