Geoff Heard is the Executive Director of the Summerhill Neighborhood Development Corp (SNDC). Geoff is involved in a wide array of civic activities. He also came in to restore credibility to the organization following financial improprieties from previous management. From the Atlanta Fulton County Recreation Website:
Community activities include: served as President B. E Mays High School PTSA, Board of Directors – Urban Action, President of the Board of Directors of Hoosier Academy, Chairman, Education Committee City of Atlanta Community Relations Committee, member, Board of Directors of Genesis Shelter. Served as Chairman of the Board of Directors – Summerhill Neighborhood, Inc., and Chairman, Fulton Country Strategies for a Healthier Community Task Force. A Life Member of the NAACP, member of the YMCA, a member of the Morehouse College Torchbearers, and Life Member of the Morehouse College National Alumni Association. Selected by the Fulton County Board of Commissioners to serve as a Trustee for the Fulton DeKalb Hospital Authority.
