CRITIC’S PICK
Fri. Nov. 6
Jim Lauderdale, Eddie’s Attic — Even the most hardcore fan of singer/songwriter Jim Lauderdale has probably lost track of how many albums he has released. There are dozens (a rough count finds 40), touching on his rootsy Americana smorgasbord of blues, soul, bluegrass, country, twang and everything in between, many on his Sky Church label. Since he’s not touring with a bluegrass band, he’ll likely focus on his deep country and Americana catalog, in particular two albums tongue-in-cheekly titled Country Super Hits (2006 and 2026). But if he played only one song from every disc, this would be a four-hour gig, so it’s always interesting to hear what he has worked up. Lauderdale is a pro and always delivers live, regardless of how often he plays the Eddie’s stage. — Hal Horowitz
