Becky Shaw With Her Full Band – Cd Release Show For Cast Off The Lines!

CRITIC’S PICK
Sat., Nov. 14

Becky Shaw, Eddie’s Attic — Hers might not be a recognizable name, but Decatur resident Becky Shaw has spent the past thirty years in some aspect of the music business. She fronted Roxie Wilson/Just Roxie for nearly two decades, still leads ‘70s cover band The Suzi French Connection, and has been associated with the Indigo Girls, specifically playing a part in their resurrection of Jesus Christ Superstar. But tonight she features her own singer/songwriter compositions from a new album, Cast Off the Lines. It’s a predominately acoustic set of folk/pop, highlighting Shaw’s witty lyrics, that floats and soars, played by a full band. Some of those members will join her for this CD release. — Hal Horowitz
