Wim Tapley & The Cannons, Tobacco Road at Aisle 5

Wim Tapley and the Cannons, Tobacco Road, Aisle 5 — Athens-based Tapley and his band aren’t doing anything special with their ringing pop/Americana, but they do it with verve, tight arrangements and likable tunes. His boyish vocals and sparkling songs mesh indie pop with a soulful flair and his latest self-titled album boasts a dozen gems that are so catchy, you’ll be singing them after the first listen. East Nashville’s pop rocking quintet Tobacco Road also knock out crafty hooks aided by sumptuous vocal harmonies, which makes this a particularly tasty bill . — Hal Horowitz
