Refugee Job Fair

The Coalition of Refugee Service Agencies (CRSA) brings together more than a dozen local refugee-serving organizations for a job fair offering positions in hospitality, construction and food services. Hopefuls should bring their identification and resume.

Atlanta Underground Film Festival

Synchronicity Theatre - 1545 Peachtree St. N.E., No. 102 Atlanta, GA 30309 $10-$60. 3 p.m.

The Atlanta Underground Film Festival celebrates filmmakers who work outside of the system both in how they create films and in the content they explore. AUFF is a three-day, nonstop party where people behind and in front of the camera are encouraged to collaborate with one another and interact with the audience. Filmmakers of all levels of experience will have their work screened, culminating in a unique and diverse collection of work. Now in its fourteenth year, the festival has become a staple in the local art scene. Tickets for the whole weekend, individual screenings and VIP access are available.

Night Vision

Westside Cultural Arts Center - 760 10th St. N.W. Atlanta, Georgia 30318 Free. 7 p.m.

After being declared legally blind in 2013 as a result of macular degeneration, artist Carter Jones chose to undergo a series of experimental treatments. Jones has since regained 10-15 percent of his vision, inspiring him to return to painting as part of his healing process. Though Jones’ has been successful in his post-blind artwork, he continues to seek treatment.

Opened Up

Made Again - 299 N. Highland Ave. N.E., Suite H2 Atlanta, GA Free. 7 p.m.

Clay Stapleford describes his work as a dance in which “he plays with energy and allows energy to play with him.” His next project is Opened Up, a show exploring feelings and expressions that arise from an “open” state of consciousness which will exhibit at Made Again. A North Carolina native, Stapleford currently lives in Atlanta where he pursues his art full-time.
