WoodRUFF Bark Halloween Dog Parade & Festival

Woodruff Park - 91 Peachtree St. N.W. Atlanta, GA 30303 Free. 1 p.m.

Register your pup for the pet parade and costume contest or bring your companion to watch and stroll through the park. If you are without a furry friend, don't fret. All are welcome, and Lifeline Animal Project will be on site with dogs available to foster and adopt. Pet and human friendly vendors will have refreshments available.


Dopeflix and Jammies

Dope Artistic Focus invites indie movie buffs to don '90s-inspired pajamas and rub shoulders with local filmmakers. There will be a screening of three independent films, including Eric Rai'vaun's thriller, Stay, in which a new couple's romance takes a turn for the worse when one becomes more attached than the other.

Kennesaw State University - 3200 George Busbee Parkway N.W. Kennesaw, GA 30144 $6-$49. 6 p.m.

Those of all ages welcome cooler weather at the fifth annual Owl-O-Ween hot air balloon festival at Kennesaw State University. Guests can enjoy an evening under the stars in one of the 20 tethered balloons that fill the sky. Live music, aerial acrobatics, food vendors, costume showdowns, trick-or-treating, and more entertain those who prefer to keep their feet on the ground. The two-day activity-packed, whimsical playground offers local artists, bands, and beer for adults while a separate area features kid-friendly bands, dance performances, free inflatables, and interactive shows for the younger crowd. Performers include Matt Bennett Band, Moses Jones Band, Leaf Pile Comedy Show, Imperial Opa Fire, and more.


Family Fall Spectacular 2017

Chastain Horse Park - 4371 Powers Ferry Road Atlanta, GA 30342 Free. 10 a.m.

This Halloween celebration at the Chastain Horse Park invites horse lovers and riders of all experience levels to participate in the horse cosutme contest, ride and relay race, petting zoo and more.
