From the venue:Are you heading out for your first camping or hiking trip? Not sure what to pack? Instructors Harriett Lane and Sandi Adams will help you design a menu and prepare nutritious, tasty meals for your wilderness experience. Learn about food handling and sanitation, preparing and storing food and minimizing cleanup. The best stove and fuel types for your needs will be discussed then weâ€™ll prepare a shared meal on a variety of stoves. Weâ€™ll sample freeze-dried meals and backcountry recipes with fresh and dried ingredients. All materials/ingredients provided with options for vegetarians and meat eaters. Age 12 to adult.
