Atlanta Ballet’s season finale celebration doubles as Wabi Sabi’s summer season kick-off party. Wabi Sabi, company dancer John Welker’s Japanese-inspired contemporary ballet initiative, will take the floor at 7:30 p.m. to preview its upcoming shows. Founded in 2011, Wabi Sabi brings together up-and-coming local choreographers and the city’s outdoor venues to create performances that honor the sincerity, simplicity, and integrity found in nature. Atlanta Ballet dancer Jonah Hooper’s photography will be on exhibit and DJ Quasi Mandisco will set the mood. Plus, admission is complimentary.
