This annual event attracts approximately 15,000 attendees every year looking for a day filled with mouthwatering chili, barbecue, live music — including Sugarland founding member, Kristen Bush and Steele Magnolia’s Joshua Scott Jones — and games and activities for all ages. The Great Miller Lite Chili and BBQ Cook-Off will donate 100 percent of the proceeds from the 35th annual event to Camp Twin Lakes. Entering its second year at the Horse Park the cook-off, which introduced an amateur barbecue competition last year, is now sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbecue Society (KCBS) and offering more than $10,000 in prize money.
