Republican senatorial candidate Herschel Walker claims to hold a graduate degree from the University of Georgia, an assertion on his campaign website that got removed just hours after being posted. It’s not the first time the falsehood has emerged: an online biography, a rally speech, and a congressional hearing introduction each have attested to it. Walker’s campaign wrote online Thursday that he “graduated from the university with a Bachelor’s degree,” but Walker later had to deny its veracity. “I was majoring in Criminal Justice at UGA when I left to play in the USFL my junior year,” Walker said in a statement. “After playing with the New Jersey Generals, I returned to Athens to complete my degree, but life and football got in the way.” bet.com
