In partnership with National Wildlife Federation’s EarthTomorrow youth group, participate in a cleanup at Cascade Springs Nature preserve. In addition, the US Geological Survey South Atlantic Water Science Center (SAWSC) will bring an interactive watershed model to demonstrate different sources of pollution and how pollution can end up in our waterways.

This event is a part of the 2024 Urban Forest Festival, activating all three parks in the Atlanta Children’s Forest Network.

ABOUT THE URBAN FOREST FESTIVAL

Join us for Urban Forest Festival 2024 as we visit all three locations of the Atlanta’s Children’s Forest Network to activate the forests we love in urban spaces. Walk over to Lionel Hampton Beech Nature Preserve and spend the morning with us utilizing this lesser-known West Atlanta trail on a native species hike. Head over to Cascade Springs Nature Preserve to participate in citizen-led stewardship efforts. Lastly, hang out with us at the Outdoor Activity Center for a family-friendly hike, hands-on-activities and exploration of the forests.
